This is the first half of the Physical Science course. This course provides students with an introduction to the world of matter and energy. Students explore what scientists do, how scientists think, and how scientists solve problems. Students examine the physical and chemical world including topics on the phases of matter, the properties of matter, atoms, chemical reactions, the periodic table, energy, motion, and forces. Students are encouraged to explore the relationship between science and everyday life.
