This course covers fiction, drama, poetry and essay by major world authors throughout history. Students will focus on literary devices and conventions of each literary genre through the following activities: matching exercises and literary matrices, short essays and literature evaluations on specified literature selections, and a final comparative essay of any two pieces of literature covered in the course.
